I seriously just cannot believe that my baby is already growing up on me. It sounds so trite, but even though I have never thought of myself as a baby-person, I just can't savor these fleeting sweet moments enough.
And, for kicks, since I have still not gotten around to writing anything witty to go with them (assuming I ever write anything witty to begin with)here are some highlights from Christmas including gifts with grandma and grandpa the week before, Christmas Eve "Pageant" with our friends (if you look closely you will notice Elsie Jane wrapped in a white blanket lying in the "manger" -- I did not trust Maggie and Joshua to hold her!), and the girls enjoying Christmas morning, and the final photo which I captioned based on a line from the movie Babe (yes, the one with the talking pig)"Christmas means Carnage" -- how do we create such messes in a matter of minutes?
One funny exchange from Christmas morning. As we are waiting on the stairs to go down and see what Santa brought:
Me: Maggie are you excited to see what Santa brought you?
Maggie: Yes, he bringing me a doll.
Me: I hope so. (Aside) Jeffrey, will you turn on the tree lights?
Maggie: No, me do the lights. Me do it.
Me: Maggie, it is okay, let's go see your presents.
Maggie: (screaming) I want to do the lights. I want to do it!
Me: (walking down the stairs with Mia and Elsie Jane) Come on Maggie, don't you want to see what Santa brought you?
Maggie: (stomping down the stairs) No, me do the lights.
Maggie: (seeing the injustice dealt her because the light are on, unable to pay any attention to her gifts from Santa because she is so consumed with anger, falling down on the ground about one foot from her new four foot horse and long-awaited doll and kicking her legs) Aaaaaaaa! Aaaaaaaa! I wanted do it! I wanted do it!
Me: Maggie, when you are done being angry do you want to see the gifts Santa brought you?

LOVE all the pictures I can't wait to see Elsie and all of you!!! Love Ya!
WOW pretty awesome for turning over at 2 months. That is early. You might have a walker by 8 months. SCARY. I remember when my cousins baby started walking when she was 7 months. I am serious. People about died when they saw her walk. She is super small for her age and even now at age 16 people look at her and she gets comments all the time about driving. She has to put books under her in order to see out the window. She is an amazing gymnast though. I think Elsie is a cutie.
