Weightier Matters

I feel in life that I am often to be outdone by my husband. It is just my lot. There are many historic examples, like which of us actually completed law school or has run the most marathons.

Or recently when in my church position working with the Young Women I set out to complete their Personal Progress Program by this fall. Since Jeffrey is in our Bishopric and over the Young Women organization I suggested he complete the program with me. Now, with two weeks left, which of us do you think finished the program 4 months ago and which has 6 more goals to go and is just giving up? If you guessed that he is the former and I the later, you would, of course, be correct.

So, since I have become a terrible slacker on updating this blog -- despite having great intentions. It should be no wonder that my suggestion to Jeffrey that he begin a blog of his own to track his thoughts and experiences on his current diet would lead to a better, more regular, funnier blog than my own.

I think I am going to stop making suggestions to him in the future.

But, in any case, I am not incapable of lauding his successes, even when he leaves me in the dust in the process.

Subsequently, I would heartily suggest you check out his new blog jeffreymerchant.blogspot.com. Start at the first post and read back to the current one. I suspect you will enjoy the diversion and want to check back often for much more regular updates than I have ever provided here.

PS- Leave him a comment, too. I think he'd appreciate the support.

I sympathise with your lot in being outdone by your spouse. It happens to me regularly as well. At times it is fantastic, but at other times it can be a real bummer.
