The Blame Game

When my daughter's room looks like this:
and when I time how long each part of my Monday cleaning routine takes and it breaks out like this:
Mia's Room - 25 minutes
Elsie Jane's Room - 15 minutes
Master Bedroom - 20 minutes
Maggie's Room - 1 hour

Then, I think something is wrong.

As I help clean up, I decide to count how many pajamas we are trying to fit into her drawer: 35. Yes, my four year old owns 35 pairs of pajamas -- all of which fit her.

And, then I think: whose fault is this mess anyway? The four-year-old's? Or mine?

I am finding myself in exactly the same boat. Is it my problem or theirs? Or the fault of the two bedroom apartment we live in?

when we went to NJ last week Adelaide woke up one day and told me she wanted to wear her pajamas to our trip to the "please touch museum" and wear them she did!

I guess when they prefer jammies you may need quite a few pairs. 35, I admit that is a lot of PJ's even for Maggie!
